CV

  • Isa Griese works between the poles of fashion and art. The base for her interdisciplinary
concept is in her studies of Integrated Design with focus on fashion at the Hochschule für
Künste in Bremen, Germany. After her diploma in 2008 she attended a residency for several
months at Le Pavillon at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Here Isa worked out her performance
Das Sonnensystem in collaboration with artist Matteo Rubbi in which she showcases textile
objects in a live performance first presented in the exhibition Ange Leccia & Le Pavillon. Isa
has also exhibited performances in Brazil, Italy and Germany. During her studies Isa Griese
interned with Bless in Paris and Potipoti in Berlin and is currently back in Bremen working
on her own fashion collection at her studio in Plantage 9. Here she explores the combinations
of contrary material traits, rigid meets fragile, hand knitted combined with artificial surfaces,
which function around and within her designs with jersey.
